6. The message that you want to forward will be displayed in the text section of a new message thread.
7. Enter the name, phone number, or email address of the person to whom you want to forward the message.
8. Click the Send button.
How to Forward an iPhone Message Using Copy and Paste
1. Open Messages on your iPhone.
2. Select the message that you want to copy and paste.
3. Hold down the message until a black pop-up menu appears.
4. Tap “Copy” to copy the message to your iPhone’s clipboard.
5. Next, open a new message thread and choose a contact to whom you want to send the copied text message.
6. Double-tap the text box in the thread’s text section.
7. Select “Paste.” Click the Send button.
How to Forward Text Messages on Mac
If you’re using Mac and integrating the Messages app, you can forward text messages to all Apple devices. Follow the steps below!
- On your Mac, open Messages.
- Choose the chat that you want to forward.
- To forward a message, click on it. It will appear slightly with highlights.
- Right-click the message or click it while holding down Control.
- On the context menu, choose Forward.
The copied message will remain on your clipboard until you copy something else, allowing you to send it to multiple people without having to return to the original message. This also means that you can copy and paste a message from your Messages app into any other program that allows you to type, such as WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger.
How to Forward Text Messages on iOS 15
iOS 15 allows you to enable and disable the forwarding messages feature. If you haven’t activated this feature, you can follow these simple steps below!
- Go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive on your iPhone.
- Tap where it says “Use your Apple ID for iMessage,” and then enter your Apple ID and password.
- You can now pick an email address to link to your Apple ID.
- Click Next once you’ve chosen the one you want to use.
- Go back to Settings > Messages, and then tap Forward Text Messages.
